How translation data is handled

soulingo only uses your text and audio to provide translation features.

Voice

Each recording is sent securely for transcription, translation, and speech, then discarded. Spoken translations use an AI-generated voice.

Text

Typed text is sent securely for translation. Voice notes are discarded after transcription. Audio created when you listen to a translation may be cached temporarily.

Live

Live audio goes directly to OpenAI for the temporary translation session.

Demo mode

Demo mode uses sample text and phrases. It needs no credentials and does not send microphone audio or translation requests over the network.
